We're a good league with a lot of history and a brand new bunch of commishioners: Meadowbrook Stud, casee, hawk-champ, and me. We're full as of this week, but I would like it to be added to the list anyway please.

This may be strictly bias but I think that Yesterday's Yards definitely deserves to be on a list somewhere on this site.
Oh and Eta Rho is a league with a lot of active guys and a ton of history.
Both are private.

Nominating Ryan Selby from MLB NewSchool

Ryan Selby was one of the most dominating pitchers ever. Period. He meets all the requirements it seems. MLB NewSchool goes through waves of competition but he pitched at the height of the league. Oh and just for the record, the league is picking up steam again :-)

"Someone once told me that in the 3 spot you need an RBI man, in the 4 spot you need a homerun hitter, and in the 5 spot you need a slugger." Statistically speaking, it has been shown that your best hitter period goes in the #4 slot. I know a lot of people say that that should be the #3 slot, but there are some good mathematical models out there to back it up. So, I tend to gravitate towards best hitter period there (unless there OBP is amazing and they have some speed, then they can move to the top 2 spots).

How about a HOF for pre and post normalization, it is unfair to compare players from before who had outrageous stats to the guys after.

Doesn't matter, everyone has to have a 95 HOF score, that score has been obtained my as many post normalization players as has pre normalization players.

i like to have my #3 guy be the one with highest OPS and save my best HR hitter for #4, it adds in my opinion a good 20 extra runs a year with an extra guy on base for the slugger to knock in

ive found that if one spot in a lineup is suited for high CN guys its the #2 hole. with a speedy lead off guy who is usually on base ahead of him, putting the ball in play and not striking out are keys to being a productive #2. with the high CN and at least average BA is also required(the higher BA the better obviously), we don't want GDP's all day. high CN and high BA out of the #2 allow him to move our leadoff over and avoid an easy K which makes it easier for the big bats behind to do some damage. also slugging is not a necessity here

What the best attributes a leadoff hitter in CSFBL would have?
I like OB% and Speed, I like a lefty at the top as well, my second choice is a switch hitter, then if I can't get either of them, I will take a righty at leadoff as long as he has high OB% and speed.

True true. high CN is rarely a bonus unless everything else is high along with that in which case its more of a "ehh whatever" than a "omg not that!" situation.
